Bertha is an excellent stylist and understands all hair types. Her recommendations are always spot on and she does a great job with color, as well. Her new studio is modern, in a beautiful old building, is a wonderfully comfortable setting. Our family of four have been seeing her for many years and highly recommend her. You’ll be in good hands!

Bertha does a fantastic job. I am admittedly not good at describing what I want, but I know when it looks good. Bertha gives me exactly the cut I want - the kind of cut that looks great from day one until the day I next come in, which is hard sometimes with short men's hair. She seems to understand just the right way to make it look natural and relaxed, while precise enough that I can style it daily without much fuss and still get compliments. She's also great to talk with and so friendly. Everything I want in a stylist! I'll be seeing her for years to come, guaranteed!

Bertha was great. After arm surgery, I wanted a simple braided updo that would stay for a few days, but every salon that I called said that their stylists don't know how to braid (!!!!!). Bertha was more than willing to work with me to make sure my hair looked nice and stayed safe and out of the way while I recovered. She listened very attentively to what I was looking for and delivered.

Bertha is the best ever. I've been going to Be Hair Salon for the past 2.5 years, and I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair in my life—I've had people stop me in the hallway just to say how much they like my hair! I have naturally wavy hair, and Bertha always knows exactly what to do with it. When I was living in LA last year, I would make an appointment at Be Hair every time I was back in the Bay (I trekked all the way from Palo Alto once because Bertha cuts my hair better than any of the hairdressers I've been to in LA). Bertha's haircuts legitimately increase my confidence, and she has a natural eye for style and the way hair should fall. Plus, she is kind, funny, and empathetic—I truly cannot recommend Bertha enough.
